FAQ
1// What kind of weddings do you shoot?
To sum up: all of them. I support everyone's equal right to marry, in whatever faith-based or secular environment they choose, and in whatever manner feels most authentic to them. And I mean it when I say that I support all couples. I don't care if you're planning a shotgun wedding and getting married in your favorite pair of jeans and your wedding will never have a thousand details that make it to the front page of the most popular wedding blog. That's not what this job is about. If you're happy, in love, and enjoying the moment, well that's all I could ever ask for.
Actually, I take that back. If you're planning a shotgun wedding and getting married in your favorite jeans, I do care. For the love of God, please CALL ME.
2// Do I have to do an engagement shoot?
Nope. I include them for free because they are a great way to get to know each other and are especially helpful for camera shy folks.
But you should also know that I do my engagement sessions a little differently. No random furniture in a field here and no matching outfits either. These sessions are all about being comfy at home and in your own neighborhood in clothes you actually wear. You know, so that the photos actually look like you and your partner.
3// What kind of equipment do you use?
35mm film cameras, toy cameras, Polaroid, and professional Nikon digital equipment.
4// What makes the photos look all dreamy like that? And will all my pictures look that way?
My favorite lens is one I made at home from an old lens and a sink plunger (yup, a plunger). Most of your photos will be more photojournalistic in style, but that depends on you and your wedding.
5// What's with all the pictures of your dog?
Well, she's pretty awesome and my husband is camera shy. So, yeah.
6// What's with all the leopard print?
My soul is 80-years-old and plays bingo on the weekends. What can I say?
